The Road Safety Trust is delighted to have been presented with the Road Safety GB Corporate Award, recognising its significant contribution to saving lives on the road.

The award was presented to the Trust by Sam Merison, chair of Road Safety GB, at the recent National Road Safety Conference on 15 November.

The judging panel comprised the Road Safety GB board of directors, who outlined the Trust’s position as the largest independent grant provider for road safety initiatives in the UK.

The panel also praised the Trust’s recent work to develop and enhance its grant application process and to actively encourage/support applications – through initiatives such as webinars and one-to-one sessions.

The Road Safety Trust’s Ruth Purdie OBE, chief executive, and Lindsay Eckley, grants officer, were in attendance at the event to receive the award.

Ruth Purdie OBE said: “We are honoured to have been recognised by the Road Safety GB Awards scheme.

“Through our funding, The Road Safety Trust is determined to make difference for all road users in the UK.

“As part of those efforts, we have funded many excellent projects, several of which we were delighted to see on the agenda at this year’s National Road Safety Conference.

“We will continue to work hard to disseminate those projects, while providing funding to more worthwhile applicants.”
